The New York State division of Best Buddies International hosted their annual benefit concert at Carnegie Hall, in New York City. this year’s event marks performer Elaine Kwon’s fifth year as headliner, founder, and creative director. In addition to Kwon, concert attendees were also treated to performances from singer/pianist Tony DeSare, soprano Angelica de la Riva, and dancer Christopher Erk presenting the TAP Factor. The Tap Factor has also joined forces with Best Buddies New York and Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Incorporated (FREE) to foster social inclusion by creating integrated, ensemble-based performance opportunities for ten performers with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities.
As one of the first chapters to be established after Shriver founded Best Buddies in 1989, the Best Buddies New York Benefit Concert continues the year-long celebration of the organization’s 25th year of service to individuals with and without intellectual disabilities across the globe.
Another fantastic night of which American Summits could not be more proud and enthusiastic to be a part.
